We have been treated to a stunning show this evening.
From our mooring in Glasson Basin, which when we arrived was wet, rainy, dull and grey, we have witnessed a wonderful murmuration of scores starlings, swooping and swirling in great clouds around us and over the basin.
And then after this wonderful display, just as darkness came closer, the whole swarm of them settled into the reeds for the night.
A dark cloud settled over the reeds and disappeared, with just the chattering of their good-nights to give away their presence.

Fabulous! Have you seen the display at Tixall Wide? Last year we and the others moored up all stood out to watch. Wonderful to hear the rushing and swooshing of their wings. Lucky you!
