Market Harborough to Leicester

We spent a couple of days in Market Harborough as Ian needed some time to get some work done while he had good signals.
The market place in the town centre is marked by this old building, built as the Grammar School, now used as a meeting place. Above the wooden arches are Bible verses in gold lettering running round the whole building. For those interested they are:
Ephesians 2 v 8&9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Psalm 127 v1 Unless the Lord build the house they labour in vain that build it.
Psalm 122 v 1 I rejoiced when they said unto me Let us go into the house of the Lord.
Matthew 6 v 33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God.
1 Samuel 16 v 7 For God seeth not as man seeth, Man looks on the outward appearance but God looks on the heart.
We loved the explanation for the school being built in this style, as you can see from the photos it was a tyme of foule wether just then. It didn't last long though.
We discovered this place hiding behind the shops. It is Joules Yard, an eclectic mix of garden statues, pots, decorative pieces, pine furniture, restaurant, cafe and live music each weekend with barbecue food available all day. It has so much going on and is obviously very a popular venue.
Next time we are in Harborough we shall try to be there at the weekend.
We left after lunch on Tuesday, and at Foxton saw our first ducklings (well Ian says he saw some the other day, but no picture to prove it!). There were 8, but I only managed 4 in the same frame.
Wednesday has been a chilly day with a few showers. We were up early and on the move by 7.45am. Stopped for cooked breakfast at 10 and carried on to get to Leicester. This is St Mary's Mill.
This swan has built her nest on what is almost an island, down beside the lock, next to the river behind Leicester city football stadium. Not sure who placed the ladder there. I was so busy swan watching forgot to take any photos of the stadium.
Coming up to the pontoon moorings at Castle Park Gardens in the city. Busy here tonight with 5 narrowboats sharing the pontoon with a BW wide boat.
