Well, not us, we stopped here yesterday lunchtime, in the rain…….
Treated ourselves to lunch in a little cafe as there was not a lot to eat on board Tacet, then after a wander round the shops, we did a supermarket shop to replenish the fridge and cupboards.
Feeling a bit fed up with the rainy weather, don’t tend to feel like taking photos………just keep my head down and get on with working locks, looking forward to being able to settle in the warm afterwards. then it seems there’s nothing much to blog about.
Today, after church, and just before we set off, in the rain again, we heard the sound of a steam engine chugging by. Ian went to investigate and took these pictures, I can’t give you any facts or figures about it I’m afraid, just enjoy………
Steam Tug Hasty in Star lock, Stone.
A very clean and tidy engine room, note the tilley lamp!
Saturday & Sunday, Meaford – Great Haywood
12 miles, 12 locks
I sympathise with sometimes feeling there's nothing to blog about, especially when the weather means the camera stays tucked out of sight. It's a hard life!
