Liverpool was the European Capital of Culture in 2008, as well as being listed as an UNESCO World Heritage site in 2004.
Yesterday we visited these places

One of the many Superlambananas around the city.  The origianl is bright yellow and was created for the City of Liverpool, the Super Lambanana’s iconic status was established during the Liverpool European Capital of Culture year.
The Titanic and Slavery exhibitions at the Maritime Museum.

Another Place by Anthony Gormley

100 steel statues looking out to sea on Crosby Beach.

And the Cavern Club where it all began for the Beatles 50 years ago.

    2. I enjoy following your journey. The Trent and Mersey played a significant part in my childhood, so I have a soft spot for the Inland Waterways.
