Kingfisher!

Not the best ever posted, but probably the best I've managed to snap.
We'd watched him flying ahead of us as they do, stopping at the edge of the canal several times, then he stayed still on the mooring ropes of this boat. So I zoomed in and got him, but of course that means he's rather blurred as we were moving.
See how far away he was.

  1. Well done Karen!
The shot of the Kingfisher is absolutely brilliant. Much better than the one I managed to get at the end of last year. Haven't seen that many Kingfishers either this year.
All the best to you both.

  2. You did well to catch this at all. Such a little jewel of a bird, that copper coloured breast, wow!
