Journey’s End

A very sad day………

Yesterday afternoon Jumble had another of his ‘turns’ when his legs went from under him and he had to be carried back onto the boat.  He never really picked up and wasn’t eating, drinking or walking and was panting a lot.  So this morning we rang a vet just a long the canal in Walsden and got Jumble there early this afternoon.  He was in heart failure so we made the decision to say goodbye and he was put to sleep with us beside him, talking to him.

Already the boat is a very different place without him, it will take some getting used to.

Jumble (6)

Good bye boy…….

                                                                                         Thank you old fella.

  13. To all you lovely people,
Thank you so much for all your kind messages and thoughts.
We are missing our 'beloved Jumble' who was 'every sort of dog' very much. In time all our memories will be a comfort, but today it's hard.
    Thank you

  14. So sorry to hear your sad news (we lost our Tess 6 weeks ago). It's very hard. We have not met you yet, but started reading your blog via Chance's, and you passed us while we were moored up on the Leicester Line in July (I'm green with envy that you went round the foundry - the lady was away on holiday when we came through Loughborough the previous week).
