Just a little village, but a lovely one to wander around, enjoying the quiet streets, beautiful homes and country views.
It is an estate village, built around the Hall, the manor house. We didn’t get a very good view of the Hall as it is hidden behind brick walls. It is a 1960’s replacement for the original home of the Ackloms and then the Spencers. It is currently for sale with a price tag of over £2 million. However I think I probably prefer the smaller cottages or perhaps an apartment in the wonderful old stables building.
Jumble was finding the walk a bit much, but a swim soon restored him!
