Narrowboat Tacet

Silent Movement - Our gap year travelling the inland waterways

Tuesday 17 January 2012

A cold and frosty morning

Our view from the front of the boat this morning.
Tacet amongst the frost, it was much warmer inside than out.

The sun was just beginning to peep through the clouds. But the clouds have been hiding it most of the day.

The horse chestnut sticky buds are fattening despite the cold.
It was all very pretty.
We travelled to the the limit of the navigable river Thames just above Lechlade. Tomorrow we shall explore the start of the Thames and Severn Canal, by foot, not boat!

12 miles,  5 locks
