Feels like Spring

The weather has been so mild the last few days, no gloves, hats and scarves needed here. In fact yesterday in bright sunshine, the birds were singing away, it really did feel like Spring. Today was not so bright but nevertheless warm and dry. We're loving these bonus days of Winter.
Before setting off this morning we took a walk around Cropredy enjoying this quintessential English village with its rich yellow sandstone, thatched roofs and quiet streets.
Red Lion Pub

At the bridge below the lock the row of cottages with the Red Lion in the middle of them leads into the village, whilst the other direction looks out onto fields.

And of course down by the canal wharf. Shame about the car, (not clever enough to airbrush it out).
And it really is like Spring, did I already say that?......

Lovely.
Moored in Banbury tonight.

5 miles, 4 locks

  1. Short day by tour standards then!! You don't half put some hours in - has the Red Lion re-opened?

  2. Think it is open, didn't go in that time of the morning though!

  3. Hair brush one moment and air brush the next.

Try this, as Tommy Cooper would have said - just like that.
