Before setting off this morning we took a walk around Cropredy enjoying this quintessential English village with its rich yellow sandstone, thatched roofs and quiet streets.
Red Lion Pub
At the bridge below the lock the row of cottages with the Red Lion in the middle of them leads into the village, whilst the other direction looks out onto fields.

St. Mary's Church
And of course down by the canal wharf. Shame about the car, (not clever enough to airbrush it out).
And it really is like Spring, did I already say that?......
Lovely.
Moored in Banbury tonight.
5 miles, 4 locks

Thanks Mick
Short day by tour standards then!! You don't half put some hours in - has the Red Lion re-opened?
ReplyDeleteThink it is open, didn't go in that time of the morning though!
ReplyDeleteHair brush one moment and air brush the next.
ReplyDeleteTry this, as Tommy Cooper would have said - just like that.
