Snapshots of Birmingham

It's a good place to be, and we are enjoying time here again.
Here are a random collection of  photos from our wanderings around the city. Although today I forgot the camera.

The iconic Selfridges building at the Bullring the huge shopping centre.

Intriguing street sign

The hall of memory, a different kind of war memorial

the new library building due to be finished next year.

the folk group Mellow Peaches performing on in the Symphony hall cafe bar, where free after work concerts are held.

St Martin's in the Bullring
The Museum and Art Gallery has an interesting exhibition on the history of Birmingham, and we have been to the Thinktank Science Museum, a very hands-on gallery well suited to children, but we had fun too.  The Planetarium theatre was very good.

  1. It's good to read a positive account of Birmingham. It's not a city I know well, but it has a poor image.
